About this course
This operative course covers on-site water penetration testing of building envelopes to the CWCT Standard Test Methods, principally the Test Method 2 hose test. You will learn how to set up the spray apparatus, control nozzle pressure and traverse rate, sequence joints and interfaces, observe internally, and record pass or fail evidence that a client or building control officer will accept.
What you will be able to do
- Set up and verify CWCT hose test apparatus and nozzle pressure
- Apply the correct traverse rate, distance and dwell time to each joint
- Sequence testing from lowest to highest interface correctly
- Identify and report water ingress paths without guessing at causes
- Produce a compliant test record with photographs and sign-off
Assessment
